Paintings
My work is in the style of abstract expressionism. Sometimes full of vibrant color, sometimes more subtle. I approach the work with a curious mindset and the question "I wonder what would happen if...?" Each piece is the result of my conversation with the materials as I explore that question.
Ceramics for the home
My clay explorations resulted in being inspired by Nerikomi.
The designs in these pieces are neither painted nor applied – they come from the material itself.
I combine two or more clays of different colors creating swirls, veins, and layers reminiscent of marble, agate, wood grain, or the geology of an ancient rock.
Each is unique — the pattern can never be reproduced exactly. Some are glazed, others left in a more natural state but sealed so are food save.
Jewelry
As I made Nerikomi inspired housewares I would have small amounts of "leftover" clay - too small to make into a functional item but too pretty to throw away. So I started experimenting with making earrings and necklaces from this clay.
The pieces have been fully fired, lightly polished, and sealed. Each earring weighs between 3 and 7 grams (about equal to the weight of one to three US pennies).
Tarot, divination, inspiration card displays
Crescent moon display dish is perfect to display tarot, oracle, or affirmation cards. Handmade with intention. A beautiful addition to support your spiritual practice. Can also be used as an offering dish, or holder for your candles and crystals. A witchy, unique addition for your altar. It's a perfect gift to give yourself or as a metaphysical gift to the person who finds guidance in the cards.
Blessed with Luna's energy in the crescent moon, inlaid lunar phases, and a triple moon goddess footer, it enhances your space even when not holding a card or other items.
